The story behind La Luz Kids

La Luz Kids started during my stay in Aruba, where I lived with my family. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I volunteered at the Food Bank. Alongside that work, I started making bracelets — to raise money and to personally distribute food directly to the children and families who needed it most.
Those experiences touched me deeply. They led me to the question: how can I really make a difference?
Driven by my belief in the power of symbolism and positivity, I started making bracelets with a message: strength, hope, and courage. Intended to motivate and inspire children—and remind them how strong they are.
When I received a message from Lars , a boy battling a brain tumor, and heard his story of strength and perseverance, it touched me deeply. Lars received a power bracelet with 'I am strong' — and that small gesture gave him and his family so much strength.
That is why La Luz Kids exists.
